Favorite line from a song?

One of the things that helps me pass the time during my work day is listening to music.

I listen to a *lot* of music throughout the week, and it ranges from all over the spectrum.

Every once in a while an old favorite will come up on shuffle and get me to thinking.

Today it was “Split Screen Sadness” by John Mayer.

There’s a line where he says,

I can’t wait to figure out what’s wrong with me

‘Cause then I can say “This is the way that I used to be.”

Very witty and thought-provoking to me. I wish I could come up with stuff like that.

What are some of your favorite lines from songs like that?

  1. Leeland’s Opposite Way CD has all the songs in opposite order on the back. Song #1 is the last track. Very cool.
I like all the words from Stained Glass Masquerade (by Casting Crowns).
“Is there anyone that fails, is there anyone that falls? Am I the only one in church today feeling so small?”

    Missed seeing you lately bro..

  2. I love that about the Leeland CD… Now that I download everything from Amazon and iTunes I miss out on stuff like that!

Did you catch the Casting Crowns video we posted on the youth blog?
