Take 5 minutes and a deep breath and read this article.

Here’s the synopsis:

On the morning of July 20, 2006, Sycloria Williams, age 18, went for an abortion – a late-term abortion that she says went terribly wrong.

Now 21, the Hollywood resident has filed a civil lawsuit accusing the clinic staff of delivering her child alive and killing the newborn girl by stuffing her into a biohazard bag.

The article is powerful because Ms. Williams describes the ordeal in her own words.

If you don’t think abortion is a significant topic, or that our country has a terrible stance on its legality, then please consider that this wouldn’t be a story at all — not any different than hundreds of thousands of abortions performed each year in the US– if this baby had been killed a few minutes earlier and a few inches further up the birth canal.
