For the first time in recent memory, this past weekend was actually pretty restful. I had a four-day weekend and we didn’t travel! It seems like any time I get a 3 or 4-day weekend we end up spending 2 of those days on the road, but not this year!

Well, we did it.
When Stephanie told me sometime in early April that she was thinking about running a half-marathon this year, I thought she had good intentions, but I figured she probably didn’t realize what was involved.

My amazing wife went out of her way to give me one of the best birthdays of my whole life this year.
She spent weeks planning and plotting, and I felt every bit of the love she put into it.

We hung out with mom and dad for Memorial Day and had a great time, including some whiffle ball golf in the yard.
It went much better than a couple years ago when we played with real golf balls and hit two cars and a 7-year-old neighbor.
