Josiah’s entertainment preferences continue to shift as he gets older.
When he was a baby, we started with Baby Einstein videos. Over time, there was a progression from there to Elmo, Sesame Street, and The Donut Man. Then Veggie Tales, concert DVDs (John Mayer, U2, and the folks from Passion are his favorites), and Toy Story.
And [...]
I like editing photos when I have some time to kill.
It relaxes me and helps me to exercise a creative part of me that I don’t get to use very often.
I got up a little early this morning and curled up with some coffee and my computer, and here’s what I came up with.
Everything that [...]
For several weeks now, Steph has been going to a Tuesday night Bible study. That recently ended, but it has now been replaced with another Tuesday night meeting, so somewhere along the way, Tuesday nights have officially become “Guy’s Time” at the Riesland house.

But he’s not a huge fan.
Over the course of about 3 minutes, the progression looks like this:
“Ooh. Hi dad. I’m having tummy time.”
“I don’t like tummy time.”
“I HATE [...]
Dad,
I thought a lot about what would be a neat gift to get you this Father’s Day, and I realized that more than anything, I wanted to write you this letter. I’ve been meaning to write it for a while, and Father’s day gives me a good, hard deadline.
First off, I want to share [...]
