We were so excited to get the kids in their costumes and take Josiah trick-or-treating that we didn’t wait until dark.

So at like 6:00, Josiah is in his Buzz Lightyear costume, with long-johns underneath, and Kharis is in her (thick) fleece pumpkin costume.

We took a few photos and tried to kill some time waiting for the sun to go down, but it didn’t take long for Kharis to get really hot in her costume.

So, Steph was trying to help her out with a little “mommy air conditioning”.

Her tone makes it hard to tell whether she’s upset, or just expressing her thoughts.

But either way: it’s one of the best sounds I’ve ever heard.

Last week, I happened to have my blackberry handy when she started her discourse.

The room was fairly dark, and the video quality on my blackberry is TERRIBLE, so you can barely see anything here. But if you want to hear what it sounds like when angels talk to themselves, the sound came through pretty well:

We first noticed him doing this the day before we took this video.

Now it’s a few days later and he still says ‘Ada da da’ whenever you ask him to say ‘momma’.

I should probably feel kind of bad, but, well, let’s be honest: my kid is freakin’ awesome!

When we went to visit the Rosado clan this weekend, I had a little bit of downtime to (finally) sort through and play with some of our old videos in iMovie ’09 (which is way, way better than its predecessor).

Here’s one from when Josiah was probably about 3 months old.

Bath time is quite a bit different now, 2 months later. He plays with is bath toys and seems to really enjoy it. Maybe we’ll get a newer video sometime…

I really believe that the most important problem in our country, and even in the Christian church, is men not behaving like real men. It seems like most men live with this misconception that their career, ‘ministry’, and bank accounts are at least equally important with their calling as hushands and fathers, and I think the whole world suffers for the lack of real men.
